Redrow South Midlands has confirmed that the development of 111 new homes in Lower Stondon is underway after planning permission has been approved by the local council. The housebuilder has officially begun work on its brand-new Bedfordshire development, Stone Hill Meadow, in Lower Stondon, after acquiring 14.2 acres of land. The construction of 111 new homes will include a selection of one, two, three, four and five-bedroom homes, providing both private and affordable housing for the area.

Construction at the development has now commenced, with interested parties encouraged to register their details now to ensure they are among the first to hear when properties are released for sale.

Edward Lindley, Land Director for Redrow South Midlands, said: “We’re excited to announce our latest development, Stone Hill Meadow in Lower Stondon, and look forward to bringing a variety of high quality, new homes to the area.

“The development forms part of our growth strategy in the Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire area, with quality homes also available at Lucas Gardens, in Shefford, and, Ivel Gardens, in Stotfold in addition to this exciting new development

“Here at Redrow, we strive to create sustainable, thriving communities at each of our developments, by building much-needed new homes and investing in the local area, which is why we will be investing in excess of £1.5million into the surrounding community through contributions, as well as providing enhanced on-site amenities.

“We anticipate that the development will be extremely popular with families, both growing and established, and we invite potential buyers to register their interest now to be one of the first to know when plots at this wonderful development are imminently released.”

Located just 2.5 miles from Henlow, and with Letchworth Garden City, Bedford and Luton all within a 30-minute drive, the new development will offer village surroundings combined with a well-connected location, making it perfectly placed for first-time buyers, growing families and downsizers alike. There are direct trains from Luton to London St. Pancras in less than 30 minutes, and a fantastic commuter service is also available from Arlesey Train Station, which is just four miles away.
