Home buyers in Scotland and North East England can now design the interior of their new homes from the comfort of their own sofa following the launch of innovative virtual technology by Robertson Homes.

The family-owned housebuilder teamed up with Glasgow-based tech-agency Trace Studio to create a Home Visualiser tool, which allows customers to configure the design of every room in their new home.

At the click of a button, customers are able to choose from a vast range of colours, fixtures and fittings to personalise their new home to their exact tastes and see how their home will look when finished.

Every option imaginable is covered, from kitchen appliances, units, worktops and tiles right down to the smallest details such as taps, door handles and lights.

Ryan Thomson, Finishing Touches Manager at Robertson Homes said: “Everything we do is driven by making the purchase of a new home an exciting, stress-free, enjoyable experience for customers.

“The way people buy new homes is changing and we have invested in technology to ensure our customers can take their time to visualise their new property and ensure every room is designed exactly how they would like, without feeling pressured.

“The finishing touches of a home are incredibly important and our new Visualiser will give customers the peace of mind they will be 100% happy with every little detail that makes their home unique to them when the exciting move-in day arrives.”

David Houston from Trace Studio, said: “The platform has been designed with the full customer journey in mind, making it as fluid as possible to purchase and configure a new home.

“Using the latest technology each customer has the control they require to customise their property down to the final elements. The finishing tool is a true personal statement in customer control.”

Established more than 50 years ago, Stirling-based Robertson Homes is currently building new developments of luxury family homes across the Central Belt and Highlands of Scotland and the North East of England.
