For the Gorenje retro collection
Gorenje, the Slovenian manufacturer famed for its creative and efficient appliances, is celebrating the growing popularity of its Retro refrigeration range, with sales-up by over a quarter in the last year.

Since its UK launch, the Gorenje Retro collection has really caught the imagination of the consumer, thanks to its winning combination of stylish good looks and superb energy efficiency. Certainly the rise in popularity of more traditional furniture kitchen styles and growing consumer interest in the look and designs of the 1950s has driven this sales increase. There are a variety of different sized models available, ensuring there is one to match every household’s requirements, while the colour options range from a vibrant Lime Green through to a classy Cream. Last year also saw the release of two new shades; Fiery Red and Snow White.

Furthermore, with an ‘A++’ energy rating available on every configuration, it’s no wonder consumers are becoming increasingly aware of and interested in the Retro. Sales in 2012 rose by 26 per cent compared to 2011.

Bill Miller, Gorenje’s Sales and Marketing Director, says: “The Retro Collection is among our most popular products, and we receive a huge number of enquiries about them every day. Last year, interest grew dramatically, perhaps helped by the introduction of our latest two shades, Fiery Red and Snow White.

“We plan to continue to develop and expand the Retro range throughout 2013, and are on course to increase this success over the coming year. The Retro offers the consumer the perfect package; stylish design, energy efficiency and a large capacity, plus real peace of mind thanks to its market-leading free five year parts and labour guarantee. It’s well worth having a couple on display in the window to lure in passers-by!”
