The Gorenje group, which includes Slovenian manufacturer Gorenje and ATAG, the Dutch appliance brand, was recognised for five of its products at this year’s red dot design awards.
For the Gorenje brand, two awards went to the Aerogor heat pump and the SensoCare NGPS12 new generation washing machine, both designed by the Gorenje Design Studio. In addition, three awards were won by ATAG hobs; the modular Puzello gas hob and the Magna gas hob, both of which feature the innovative Fusion Volcano wok burner, and the ATAG induction hob with matte finish in ground glass.
Red dot design awards are presented for excellence of design, innovation, and high quality of products. This year the best of the 4,662 entries, submitted by 1,865 companies from 54 countries, were selected by a 37 member jury of renowned designers and design experts who applied the criteria of aesthetic trends and sustainable design. In the last eight years, the Gorenje group has received 24 red dot design awards.
