Cameo, the specialist blinds and curtain making division of Designer Contracts, has moved to new and upgraded premises near the company’s Chesterfield, Derbyshire, headquarters.
As the UK’s largest flooring contractor and a key supplier to the new build sector, Designer Contract’s bespoke blinds and curtain making operation was first started more than 25 years ago.
It’s established team of specialist machinists produce thousands of made-to-order curtains and roman blinds each year. As well as supplying domestic dwellings, the service is offered to Ministry of Defence housing, Housing Associations and care schemes.
Said Designer Contract’s commercial director Louise Walters: “Along with flooring, furniture and lighting packs, Cameo is a vital part of the service we offer to the public and private sectors and is a popular option with new home buyers and scheme providers.
“House buyers can select from a wide range of fabrics and styles, using window dressings to add their own individual stamp from the moment they move into their new property. It also offers specifiers responsible for furnishing public sector homes and care accommodation with a straightforward and cost-effective solution.
“The service has grown considerably since it was first started, so the move not only brings the division closer to our head offices but also gives the team a more modern and spacious environment in which to work.”
Designer Contracts operates nationally through its network of regional offices. As well as flooring, the company provides blinds and curtains plus furniture and lighting packs.
