First Homes launched at Lovell Swinfen Vale development

The transformation of South East Coalville has reached a new milestone with the launch of the first homes at Lovell’s new Swinfen Vale development.

Lovell Homes at Swinfen Vale will deliver a collection of 146 high-quality new homes, including 11 affordable properties, as part of the wider South East Coalville masterplan led by strategic land developer Harworth Group.

The first homes released for sale are a mix of three and four-bedroom semi-detached and terraced properties. Prices will start at £269,995.

Showhomes officially unveiled

The launch coincided with the opening of two professionally designed showhomes. Lovell unveiled the showhomes to key dignitaries, stakeholders and prospective buyers during a special weekend-long celebration at the development.

Lovell sales director for the East Midlands, Dawn Bennett, said, “The launch of Lovell Homes at Swinfen Vale is a significant moment for both Lovell and the wider South East Coalville regeneration. The development not only offers buyers a range of modern and thoughtfully designed new homes. It also provides them with an abundance of green space and excellent connectivity.

“It’s a fantastic place for people to put down roots and become part of a thriving new community. We can’t wait to welcome prospective buyers to our new showhomes. We look forward to giving them their first opportunity to experience the quality, specification and lifestyle on offer.”

Designed for modern living

Set amongst landscaped green spaces and surrounded by the natural beauty of the National Forest, Swinfen Vale offers residents the opportunity to enjoy a relaxed, outdoor lifestyle with easy access to Coalville, Ashby-de-la-Zouch, Leicester and the wider Midlands area.

Designed to appeal to first-time buyers, growing families and those looking to downsize, Lovell Homes at Swinfen Vale features 12 thoughtfully designed house styles. The development offers a choice of one, two, three and four-bedroom homes.

Lovell designed each property to complement modern lifestyles, with light-filled living spaces, stylish kitchens, quality finishes and flexible interiors that support everyday family life.

Every home combines sustainable design with energy-efficient features. The homes achieve an SAP B energy rating and incorporating a range of features to help reduce running costs. These include gas central heating, photovoltaic (PV) solar panels and electric vehicle charging points.

Every plot includes hedgehog highways and swift nesting bricks, reflecting Lovell’s commitment to biodiversity.

Part of a wider regeneration

Peter Massie, National Director of Development ‑ Residential Sector Lead at Harworth, said, “We are delighted to welcome Lovell to our South East Coalville development. We are well advanced with our delivery of a thriving new community in the National Forest. Residents are already benefiting from extensive areas of landscaped green open space, play areas, and the award-winning Greenstone Primary School. We look forward to working with Lovell and other partners as this exciting development nears its completion.”

The first Lovell residents are expected to move into their new homes at Swinfen Vale in September 2026. The overall build is expected to be complete by Autumn 2027.

The showhomes and sales office are open Thursday to Monday from 10am–5pm.
