InSinkErator has been shortlisted in the Environmental Champion of the Year category at The British Institute of Kitchen, Bedroom & Bathroom Installation (BiKBBI) Awards 2023, as a result of its ongoing sustainability efforts and commitments.

Launched in 2021, the BiKBBI Awards celebrate contributions and achievements of businesses and individuals in the kitchen, bedroom and bathroom installation sector. Boasting 12 different award categories, including two, which are brand new for 2023, the Environmental Champion of the year and the Industry Newcomer, the BiKBBI Awards shortlist has been collated from the nominations received from within the industry. InSinkErator is among the 48 finalists shortlisted and will now be judged by an independent panel. The winners will be announced at an awards ceremony on Tuesday 7th February 2023 at the Queen Elizabeth Conference Centre, Westminster, London.

Anne Kaarlela, Marketing Communications and Customer Service Manager, Europe, InSinkErator, says: “We are delighted to have been recognised as one of the top environmental champions in the KBB industry. We have worked hard to communicate the sustainable benefits of our product offering to both trade and consumer audiences, while educating and encouraging consumers and the industry to engage in eco-friendly practices and initiatives for the future for our planet. We look forward to the BiKBBI awards ceremony and gala dinner in February.”

As the inventor and global market leader of food waste disposers, and a major player in the specialist kitchen tap market, InSinkErator is an active campaigner in encouraging the prevention of avoidable food waste, and the reduction of single-use plastic waste. InSinkErator supports several environmental initiatives, including Food Waste Action Week and Plastic Free July, sharing the campaign aims, objectives and actions with its trade partners and social media followers. Additionally, InSinkErator participates in the campaign activities and hosts giveaways of its products to allow consumers the opportunity to increase the eco-credentials of their home, for free.
