KEUCO has recently published its second Sustainability Report. This sets out the environmental progress the company has made and the milestones it has reached on its journey toward a more sustainable future.
At KEUCO sustainability has always been an important element. This is incorporated in how they design every component through to how they manufacture and deliver their products. It also encompasses a distinct reduction in CO2 emissions through to the introduction of renewable electricity. They continue to endeavour to make progress in this area.
In the latest report KEUCO underlines the company’s continued commitment to transparency and environmental responsibility, which gives partners greater confidence in the standards, reliability and long-term vision that define the brand. This commitment is built on a firm foundation: which starts with quality. The excellent quality of KEUCO’s products is dependent on the processes they have in place and the people they work with, without these they would not have the right base on which to build and strengthen the brand.
Robust checks are in place across all areas of the business, designed to minimise the environmental impact, conserve resources and protect employee wellbeing. This last element is key as KEUCO recognises that its staff at all levels are central to its success. Their expertise, dedication and commitment to colleagues, customers and suppliers remain the backbone of the business and are a driving force behind the company’s continued progress.
Key highlights in the report
- 22.3% reduction in CO2 emissions compared with 2021/2022
- 100% renewable electricity across operations since 2024
- Clear climate targets, including climate neutrality for Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 2045
- Ongoing focus on durable, resource-efficient and recyclable product design
- Continued progress in reducing water use, materials consumption and waste
Alongside these environmental improvements, KEUCO has strengthened the reliability of its responsible sourcing. They continuously scrutinize their suppliers against social and environmental criteria, whilst continuing to invest in their own employee development.
Lubert Winnecken, Managing Director of KEUCO comments, “For years, sustainability has been an essential aspect of our corporate philosophy. Our goal is to actively contribute to climate protection and firmly anchor this claim in the company. Only ecological action secures our economic future. We are rising to this challenge and continuing the path we have taken. This is the only way we can help shape the future for future generations.
“Numerous individual projects in the areas of economic, ecological, and social aspects of sustainability have developed and established from this. We have set ourselves the goal of intensifying topics such as greater resource efficiency, water protection, and social contributions.
“A lot has happened since our first sustainability report. What this entails in detail, where we have already been able to bring about changes, which priorities we have set and what goals we have, you will find out in this second sustainability report. We are happy to take you on this journey.”
