Sirius Buying Group, major buying group of electrical appliances and kitchen retail solutions is delighted to announce that Sinks & Things, one of the UK’s original distributors of Franke products since the 1970s is the latest Approved Supplier to join the group this year.

Sinks & Things was acquired by Franke in January 2020, as part of the well-known Swiss brand’s growing presence in the UK market. Franke’s investment and support has enabled Sinks & Things to move forward with enhanced customer service, delivery and operations while continuing to build on the heritage of its distribution partnership that has successfully spanned almost 40 years.

The Sinks & Things product portfolio has been re-shaped to focus on offering the full Franke and Carron Phoenix product ranges, including appliances and decorative hoods.

Marion Morton, Head of Commercial at Sirius says, “New Approved supplier Sinks & Things adding further Distribution into the group as we look to continue to give our Members access to top brands within the UK kitchen market. The kitchen market naturally complements our Members’ traditional business profiles and we’re seeing more and more of our Members exploring this avenue to create new revenue streams and provide their customers with the complete package, so it’s important we do the same for them.”

Sirius Buying Group is dedicated to working with leading brands as the kitchen living landscape continues to evolve- bringing new opportunities for retailers. Jo Sargent, Sales & Marketing Director at Franke UK explains, “Our drive to develop and grow the business is tantamount to our retail success over the years, and we consider Sirius as a key vehicle for the delivery of our core product ranges to the UK independent, which includes sinks, taps, and newer categories such as cooker hoods and MDAs. The contract market is also a key area of focus for Franke UK, and as we continue to expand our portfolio and strengthen our UK projects team to answer market demand, we will support Sirius members within the group.”

Sirius members will benefit from the Sinks & Things dedicated online 24/7 ordering portal to check availability and prices before completing orders. This digital service ensures that all transactions and account details will be kept in a secure online location for easy access. The Sinks & Things Area Sales Managers will also be ready to assist Sirius retailers nationwide alongside the Surrey-based Sales and Customer Service team.

Steve Jones, Managing Director at Sirius says, “We are committed to supporting independent retailers in growing their businesses with exclusive deals from the best brands in the industry, making Sinks & Things a natural fit for our members and supports the existing channels for Franke products already available to our members through Waterline. With more electrical appliance retailers exploring the growing kitchen design market, the ability for our members to select from the extensive Franke range will open up even more opportunities to generate sales from previously untapped markets like the wet zone.”
