With the size of the average UK bathroom measuring around 4.4m2, RAK-Petit, a designer collection from RAK Ceramics, solves the problem of creating luxury results in compact spaces.
Created in collaboration with award-winning Italian designer Maurizio Scutellà, RAK-Petit is a comprehensive collection of sanitaryware and brassware, designed specifically with small bathrooms in mind, from en-suites to small family bathrooms. With minimal shapes and modest dimensions, RAK-Petit washbasins are perfect for small spaces that are also big on style.
Giuseppe Maurizio Scutellà was born in Alcamo, Sicily. An industrial designer, focused on and sensitive towards the entire range of significant design and artistic currents of the past century, he designs products that are technical and artistic at the same time. Taking both the “Form Follows Function” and the “Function Follows Form” approaches to his work, he boasts a significant technical background.
The RAK-Petit collection includes deep-based washbasins that can be installed alone or combined with RAK-Joy vanity units in the domestic bathrooms, as well as freestanding washbasins that are statement pieces.
Featuring circular and square shapes, the freestanding ceramic RAK-Petit washbasins in striking Alpine White measure an elegant 360mm wide x 900mm tall. RAK-Petit wall-hung washbasins are equally as stylish, again with round or square basin shapes combined with a ceramic ledge, providing an easy to wipe clean surface for soaps and toothbrushes. Measurements for the wall-hung basins are 765mm x 360mm.
The collection has been extended in 2023 to include even more choice in washbasins, in the form of new RAK-Petit Round and Squared Countertop washbasins. Standing at 340mm tall, the design of the new washbasins is inspired by the larger floor standing models in the collection, transforming this practical area of the bathroom into a stylish focal point.
Beautifully crafted from high quality ceramic, the countertop washbasins tap into the trends for curves and geometric lines in the bathroom.
Guaranteeing that the brassware will be a centrepiece of the bathroom, the collection includes two styles of elegantly modern brassware, RAK-Petit Round and RAK-Petit Square.
With options available to cover all situations, from standard and tall basin mixers, to wall-mounted and floorstanding bath mixers and a comprehensive range of shower brassware, the collection enables a cohesive look to be effortlessly achieved.
RAK-Petit Round has a smooth, curved shape while RAK-Petit Square follows geometric lines. Whichever style is preferred, there are a variety of finishes to select from too, tapping into the latest trends in bathroom design. Choose from Polished Chrome, Brushed Gold, Brushed Nickel, Matt Black and Black Chrome.
