The UK’s largest manufacturer of ceramic and glass tiles, British Ceramic Tile, has recently been selected to work on the refit of the washrooms at the Weston Favell Shopping Centre in Northampton and St George’s Shopping Centre in Harrow.
Commissioned by Interfix, the leading washroom design and refurb specialists, British Ceramic Tile was briefed to transform the communal washrooms into smart, comfortable facilities.
At Weston Favell, the specification team selected a mocha concrete effect tile in a 298x598mm size with a matt finish, created specifically for the project but similar to the existing Shift Mocha tile. The Lore Bianco matt porcelain floor tile was used to deliver a stunning stone effect, while fitting the brief for a durable, practical and hardwearing surface in a 310x610mm format. Meeting a slip rating of R10, Lore Bianco reaches the higher end of the resistance spectrum to ensure customer safety is a priority.
At St George’s, the toilets were in need of vast improvement due to years of wear and tear of fixtures, fittings and surrounding décor. Condo, a clean white ceramic tile in a 248x498mm format was applied to the walls to create a contemporary design with an elegant satin finish. Again, the porcelain Lore Bianco tile had its time to shine, covering the floor to bring a practical, easy to keep solution, well suited for high traffic areas.
