British Gas is offering Londoners the chance to double the saving of the cost of a new energy efficient boiler, with a £400 trade-in on old boilers. This coincides with Mayor Boris Johnson’s London Boiler Cashback Scheme, launched today, offering Londoners £400 cash back on replacement of an inefficient boiler.
The London Boiler Cashback Scheme is expected to provide 6,500 Londoners each with £400 cash back on replacement of a G-rated boiler with a new A-rated energy efficient boiler, saving them hundreds of pounds on energy bills. For example, Londoners living in a semi-detached house could save an estimated £340*.

British Gas’ £400 trade-in will enable Londoners to upgrade to the latest A-rated energy efficient boilers, which are sourced from top boiler manufacturers and eligible for cash back under the Mayor’s scheme and installed by British Gas’ Gas Safe registered engineers. You do not have to be a British Gas customer to take advantage of the offer.
Whilst British Gas’ offer is available until 31st March, the London Boiler Cashback Scheme is available on a first-come, first-served basis, so Londoners are urged to act fast if they want to take advantage of the double saving.
