The first homes at the Waterbeach development in Cambridge are due to be launched by Cala Homes in Spring 2023.
Building work is already underway at the development, where 111 new homes will be brought to life by Cala Homes. 76 one- & two-bedroom apartments and three & four bedroom houses will be available for private sale, with the remaining 35 available as affordable housing provided by Longhurst Group. The first homes are due to legally complete late summer meaning a dream move to Waterbeach could become a reality sooner rather than later.
Master planners Urban&Civic are overseeing the transformation of the new community, which is based on a 716-acre former airfield and barracks site. The development will eventually house 6,500 new homes, three new primary schools and one secondary school, as well as provide 290,625 square feet of employment floor space.
When complete, Waterbeach will feature 59 acres of richly diverse woodland, green spaces, sports pitches with a 23-acre lake at its heart, as well as an abundance of amenities for residents to enjoy. The Cala homes at Waterbeach range in size from 538 square feet to 2,038 square feet.
