George (75), a retired structural engineer and now keen golfer, said: “Our old house had a very large garden which was becoming unmanageable and there were always jobs that needed doing around the house, which became quite costly.
“With busy social lives, we needed somewhere that was going to be low maintenance and our new house has ticked all the boxes.”
Wendy (71) used to work as a secretary at Pinewood Studios and now enjoys time at the gym and looking after her grandchildren. She said: “We love everything about the new house, from the quality of the build to the internal fixtures and fittings and the best thing about it is that we do not need to do any work on it.
“We moved to the area back in the 60s after getting married, so have stayed fairly local over the years. The location is really convenient as we are close to Uxbridge and Windsor.
