Specifiers can start with an Amtico flooring design and then add Acoustic, Safety or Bio enhancements, individually or in combination, to meet the specific requirements of a project.
Whether the priority is reducing noise transfer, achieving enhanced slip resistance, lowering embodied carbon or balancing all three, the enhancements allow performance requirements to be layered onto the same flooring specification without compromising design continuity.
For build-to-rent and student accommodation developments and other multi-occupancy environments, controlling noise transfer between floors is a key consideration. Amtico Acoustic has an integrated acoustic backing that reduces impact sound transmission by up to 19dB, helping to create quieter and more comfortable living environments. Because the sound-reducing layer is built into the flooring, there is no need for separate underlay rolls, helping to simplify specification and installation while reducing additional material costs and time on site.
Available across Signature, Form, Spacia and First, Amtico Acoustic allows projects to achieve improved sound performance without restricting the choice of wood, stone or patterned flooring designs.
Amtico Safety provides certified enhanced slip resistance while maintaining the design flexibility associated with luxury vinyl tile flooring. Available across Signature and Spacia, the enhancement meets the BS EN 13845 Enhanced Slip Standard, with slip-resistant particles embedded throughout the wear layer to maintain performance over time.
All of Amtico’s core LVT collections also feature built-in antimicrobial protection, helping to create more hygienic environments in busy residential and shared spaces.
Amtico Bio offers a more sustainable approach to flooring specification by incorporating bio-attributed PVC, reducing the embodied carbon of Amtico LVT by between 20% and 28%, depending on the collection, while maintaining the same appearance, durability and performance. Available across Signature, Form and Spacia, it allows projects to support sustainability goals without restricting design choice.
