CPBigwood compliance specialist Stuart Burridge has been appointed to an advisory role with sector body, the Association of Residential Managing Agents (ARMA).
Head of asset and compliance at the property business, he and his team are responsible for ensuring all mechanical and electrical equipment for which the firm is responsible is maintained correctly, is compliant with legislation and all assets are effectively managed.
He has now become part of ARMA’s Health & Safety Forum in the course of which he will be using his expertise to help offer guidance to others around the country.
The Forum is made up of a group of 11 volunteers from ARMA’s larger member companies, providing an arena for all matters health and safety-related to be digested, discussed and knowledge shared over what has become an incredibly challenging subject.
Members of both the Health and Safety Forum and Technical Committee undertake the revising and drafting of guidance and advice notes, and also represent ARMA at various government working groups and committees. A member of the Forum sits on the Technical Committee.
He said: “Buildings are becoming more and more complex with the growth in environmentally friendly systems meaning an increase in the expertise needed to run them efficiently while being compliant with legislation.
“The Forum is about ensuring that an unrivalled wealth of knowledge is available to not only our members but also for consumers on ARMA website. I am very pleased to be able to play a part in this important work.”
Mr Burridge joined CPBigwood in April 2014 from Mainstay Group.
ARMA is the leading trade association for residential leasehold management in England and Wales.
