David Longbottom, Founder of Construction Automation, originally founded a food manufacturing business which he later sold to a Danish company. Additionally, he has owned and run multiple engineering businesses and been involved with residential property development throughout his career. In 2018, he founded Construction Automation with Stuart Parkes, an accomplished autonomous vehicle design engineer. Construction Automation is focused on automating the traditional house building sector. Their first machine is a Brick Block Mortar Laying Robot.
