First time buyers across the West Midlands and the South West have been given a boost this week. One of the UK’s oldest homebuilders has launched a dedicated new helpline.
Kendrick Homes, which currently has six live developments across Worcestershire and Gloucestershire, aims to eliminate a lot of the confusion surrounding first-time property purchases.
Reacting to feedback from the market, the company has put its Head of Sales, Kirsty Darby, in charge of the helpline. She is happy to discuss any home purchase from any site.

People can call 07960 232780 during normal working hours to ask questions about deposits, mortgages, buying schemes and affordability. There will be no pressure, no jargon and no obligation.
“We speak to a lot of potential buyers, and a pattern keeps coming up,” explained Kirsty Darby, who has worked in the housing market for over 25 years.
“There’s confusion, a sense of being overwhelmed and not knowing who to trust. There’s a lot of mixed messaged and too much misrepresentation around what buying your first home actually involves.”
She added: “Our helpline is a way for us to put something back and to cut through all the uncertainty. And it doesn’t have to be concerning a Kendrick Homes property – we’re happy to help buyers purchasing from other homebuilders as well.”
The average first time buyer in the UK is around 32 to 34-years-old, with over half relying on help from family.
They are no longer just looking at smaller properties as Kendrick Homes has seen an increase in first time buyers in their 40s. In this instance, four beds are providing increasingly popular.
Kirsty continued: “The aim is simple: clarity, confidence, and better information so you can plan properly and move forward when the time is right for you.
“In addition to the hotline, we’ve also created eight short videos that give advice in just thirty seconds. This means you can dip in and out for the type of guidance you want.”
