Aluminium rainwater and eaves system manufacturer Marley Alutec has launched a highly sustainable coping system with a fully weathertight life expectancy of 50 years or more.
Unique to the new Evoke coping range is a superior butyl adhesive seal, which outlasts the EPDM compression seals normally used in coping systems and ensures the installation remains 100 per cent weathertight throughout its extended life. What’s more, because Marley Alutec’s coping range is manufactured from non-toxic recycled plastic waste and a composite aluminium skin, it is fully recyclable at the end of its service life.
The Evoke coping range has also been designed to meet the highest standards of durability. Tested by the Building Research Establishment (BRE), the new system is able to withstand hurricane force winds of up to 176mph, which is 24 per cent higher than the highest ever recorded UK wind speed. What’s more, not only is the system finished in the most colour stable architectural grade paint available, but it also includes nano self-cleaning technology to ensure that the coping continues looking its best with minimal maintenance requirements.

Extremely strong and rigid, Evoke coping can be used to span large wall widths with zero bowing or rippling despite only being 4mm thick. In addition, installation of the new range is simple and quick, as the system can be cut, drilled, formed and fixed using standard carpentry tools and skills.
The new coping complements Marley Alutec’s existing Evoke fascia and soffit system providing a full range of eaves and roofline solutions. Made from the same layered-structure, the Evoke fascia and soffit system is extremely lightweight and does not require a backing board. In addition, it can be easily modified on site using basic tools without the need to employ specialist contractors.
