Showhome interior designers, Oasis Interior Design, have launched their ‘showhome upcycling’ initiative; a brand-new industry solution for developers to utilise their leftover stock from previous installations and restyle them into brand new cost-effective showhomes.
The service is a result of Oasis Interior Design reacting to the needs of the industry in the midst of the current cost of living crisis. With the new showhome upcycling initiative, Oasis can offer clients more for their money in a way that avoids furnishings going to waste.
Utilising in-house upholstery and upcycling skills, Oasis Interior Design are able to bring new life to old furniture through bespoke design informed by over a decade’s experience in designing and installing quality showhomes.
Rachel Best, Director of Oasis Interior Design, said:
“We’ve been in the showhome industry for 16 years now, so we have an incredibly in-depth knowledge of the lifecycle of a showhome. When a showhome is sold, rejected contents of the showhome then goes into storage which can be for a range of reasons. The result of this is the client then has an abundance of often incohesive furniture left unused.
“That means that a lot of furniture is going to waste that really deserves to have more time in the showhome spotlight. Approaching showhomes from this back-end stock perspective means two things; projects become a lot more affordable and a lot less goes to waste.
“We can also change something simple like the decoration plan to add fresh new colour schemes that make the showhome feel like a completely new environment. Simple design choices like this add to the cost-effectiveness of upcycling a showhome.”
