What’s your idea of a perfect home?
For me, the details make a perfect home. A huge front door painted in a neutral colour (or pink!) that welcomes you in. A big kitchen island for everyone to gather around. I also love some of the traditional features you find in period homes – ceiling roses, picture rails, an original tiled floor.
Favourite design trend you never get tired of?
Curves! They’re so popular right now, we’re seeing them in furniture, fabric patterns, wall art and accessories, even headboards. They elevate any space and soften the aesthetic.
What is something about you that we wouldn’t know from your CV?
I love a good rom com, everything from Chalet Girl to About Time. You can’t beat a girly film night, in your pjs, laughing and crying your eyes out at the same time!
If you could only eat one meal for the rest of your life, which would it be?
This is difficult because I’m a foodie! But it would have to be a spicy pizza with extra jalapenos topped with burrata. On repeat.
What’s the one item in your home you could never part with?
A piggy bank my grandad hand-painted for me. It’s now in my daughter’s nursery and makes me smile every time I see it.
If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be and why?
New York. I don’t even have to think about it! I’d never get bored looking at that skyline, plus there’s the shopping, the rooftop bars, a weekend stroll through Central Park…
How would you define success?
Being happy. If you enjoy what you do, who you work with and can be proud of the results then this makes a massive difference to how successful you feel.
Name one of your guilty pleasures…
It has to be a foodie one so chip shop chips, in the bag, with loads of salt and vinegar. Yum!
Who did you admire growing up and why?
My godmother. She worked in central London and was always so fabulously dressed. When I was younger, I loved meeting her on her lunch break, hearing about her day and imagining what my working future would be like. I like to think I’ve followed in her stylish footsteps!
Biggest pet peeve?
People who don’t say thank you when you hold the door open – it’s just rude.
