Orbit Homes is amongst a hand-full of house builders to have been awarded a five-star rating in this year’s annual customer satisfaction survey, by the Home Builders Federation (HBF).
Part of the 39,000-home Orbit Group, it is the only housing association to achieve the accolade this year, and is ranked alongside national developers with the five-star accolade.
The independent UK-wide survey by HBF, revealed that over 90% of the 45,000-plus respondents are happy with the quality of their new home, and the service provided. The survey was completed by 45,342 UK homebuyers during October 2014 to September 2015.
Paul High, executive director for Orbit Homes, said: “This is a fantastic achievement for Orbit to be recognised as a leading housing developer for customer service. Our achievement highlights our commitment to meeting the needs and aspirations of our customers by providing new, high-quality homes.”
The news comes as Orbit Homes is also been named the second largest developing housing association in the UK by Inside Housing, for both the number of completions this year and projected development pipeline to 2018. The Group is on target to complete 5,866 homes by 31 March 2018, having already completed 1,550 this financial year.
One of the largest housing association developers based outside of the London, Orbit Homes builds homes across the Midlands, South and East. They have developed almost 4,000 homes since April 2013 and are on target to develop 12,000 new homes by 2020.

To achieve such a high level of customer satisfaction, especially at a time when housing output overall is increasing rapidly, requires commitment from board room to site, and is a fantastic achievement.”
