A year after the launch of show homes at Orchard Place in Thornton, the development by Castle Green Homes has matured into a thriving new neighbourhood, with strong sales and a growing sense of community.
Originally launched off-plan, the development welcomed its first show homes last December. Since then, the site has seen rapid growth, with 145 homes sold and 55 families already moved in.
Sian Pitt, sales director at Castle Green Homes, commented: “Thanks to the hard work put in by the construction team, Orchard Place has undergone a real transformation over the last 12 months. We’ve now sold 145 homes and welcomed homeowners into 55 of them. We’ve had friends buy neighbouring properties, while others have quickly formed friendships with their new neighbours to help grow the sense of community here.”
Pitt highlighted the energy efficiency of the homes, which has been a major draw for buyers. “Feedback from our homeowners is that they’ve found that their energy bills are lower than in their old home, even if they’ve moved to a larger property. We have a small number of homes almost ready to move into, offering buyers the chance to save on their energy bills this winter thanks to the energy efficiency of our homes. There’s also the chance to save on stamp duty by completing before the rates change on April 1.”
Orchard Place offers a variety of two, three, and four-bedroom homes, with prices currently ranging from £254,995 to £519,995.
Castle Green Homes is committed to sustainable construction, with all properties at Orchard Place being built using precision-made timber frames from sustainable sources. The homes feature generous insulation, highly efficient central heating, and, in some cases, solar panels to help reduce reliance on the national grid. Kitchens are equipped with energy-efficient appliances, while eco-labelled white goods, such as dishwashers and washing machines with A-level ratings, are either included or available as an upgrade.
The development benefits from a green and spacious environment, with nearly 18 acres of mature landscaping retained across the site. A public open space, complete with a play area, will serve as a central focal point, providing opportunities for outdoor enjoyment for residents of all ages.
As the community continues to grow, Orchard Place is set to become a highly desirable address within Sefton, offering both modern, energy-efficient homes and a strong sense of community.
