Specialist in waterproofing, insulation and other dry-build solutions, Marmox is enhancing its already comprehensive bathroom and wetroom product range with the launch of new tileable basins and shelving options.
Supplied pre-formed and ready for tiling, the Marmox Multiboard Tileable Basin range makes it possible for interior designers, architects, specialist contractors and homeowners to create seamless, fully tiled washbasins and shelves that blend perfectly into any tiled space: including vanity units fashioned from the company’s versatile coated XPS boards.
The new units are all produced from the well proven Marmox Multiboard – also widely used as a tilebacker board – and have been designed to be tiled direct without any extra preparation, making them a cost-effective as well as time-saving installation. Additionally, they afford a quick turnaround for locations like hotels, schools and commercial establishments, as well as the home.
The minimalist form of the basins and shelves means they can be effortlessly integrated with Marmox’s other wetroom offerings, while the lightweight yet strong units are supplied with compatible waste fittings to simplify plumbing work. Measuring 485 x 770mm, there are two drainage options to choose from, these being with either a push plug or linear drain.
The Tileable Basin with Push Plug comprises a simple, elegant square basin designed to be tiled for a finish that blends into the surrounding wall or vanity unit. The push plug waste offers a tidy, practical outlet, making it ideal for both residential and commercial settings where a more traditional appearance is desired.
The Tileable Basin with Linear Drain, in turn offers a sleek alternative with a contemporary edge, featuring a slimline linear waste channel for a more sophisticated aesthetic. With the same strength and waterproof performance as the push plug version, the linear basin delivers a distinctive style that works well in modern bathrooms and wetrooms.
To complete the look, the Tileable Shelf Extension matches the size and profile of the new basins. It can be installed as a stand-alone feature or sited to extend a basin’s surround, providing extra useable surface area. When specified alongside either washbasin, multiple shelf units can be installed to create a continuous tiled run, providing varying design possibilities as well as functionality and ease of cleaning.
