Reed Harris is continuing its longstanding relationship with retailer Watches of Switzerland,as the installation of luxury porcelain floor tiles at their new Knightsbridge showroom comes close to completion. This follows on from other successful collaborations, which have seen Reed Harris provide porcelain floor solutions for Watches of Switzerland’s Heathrow Airport, Canary Wharf, Regent Street and Oxford Street outlets. The latter provides a perfect example of how Reed Harris’ Architectural team provided the perfect cladding and flooring solutions.
The Oxford Street branch used the tile specialist to help them create their stunning boutique showroom in central London. Working in collaboration with architectural consultancy Callison London, Reed Harris supplied 180 sq m of Honed Levante Strata Oscuo in 800mm by 800mm and 800mm by 200mm formats and 70 sq m of Maximum Nero Supremo cladding, cut to bespoke sizes, for the 7,000 sq ft Oxford Street boutique, which is located opposite Selfridges department store.
Following a similar format to the Regent Street branch, which opened in 2014, the Oxford Street store features a VIP lounge and digital timepiece experience alongside luxury watches from leading brands such as Cartier, Chanel and Jaeger-LeCoultre.
Reed Harris worked with Callison over a four-month period, advising on the most suitable materials for the showroom and the technical aspects of installing the cladding. Utilising Reed Harris’ renowned Bespoke Design Service, which sees the company use the latest waterjet technology to cut natural stone and porcelain to create unlimited design possibilities, the Maximum Nero Supremo cladding was cut to bespoke, individual panels from 3000x1500x6mm slabs.

Having been expertly cut-to-size by our waterjet fabricator, it was vital that all the panels arrived on site in perfect condition to ensure no delays occurred. We even attended site with our delivery to ensure our haulier handed over the delivery without any issues.”
