A new showhome has been opened at Bellway’s Roman Gate development in Melton Mowbray.
The developer is building 217 houses at the site as part of a wider neighbourhood of 520 homes, off Leicester Road.
The first properties have been released onto the market following the opening of the sales office in August, and Bellway has now unveiled the four-bedroom detached Philosopher showhome at the development, open for viewings between Thursdays and Mondays each week.
Like all homes at Roman Gate, the Philosopher is from the Artisan Collection, Bellway’s flagship range of house types developed using years of customer feedback to create the perfect design and layout.
Fiona Bray, Sales Manager at Bellway East Midlands, said: “The Philosopher showhome is the first completed house at the development and will give buyers the opportunity to see just how good one of our flagship Artisan homes looks from the inside.

The wider 520-home development will bring an investment of £6 million into the local area through planning contributions from the consortium of housebuilders behind the scheme, which includes Bellway and Ashberry Homes, part of the Bellway group.
The contributions include £4.5 million towards road improvements and £530,000 for local education, £500,000 for sustainable transport services and more than £176,000 towards policing.
A two-bedroom semi-detached Cooper showhome is due to open at the site in October.
A selection of two, three and four-bedroom detached houses are currently available to buy, with prices starting from £199,000.
