The Smart Buildings Show returns this year between 12-13 October at ExCel London, with this year’s event promising to be the biggest yet, featuring more than 50 speakers at the conference and over 70 exhibiting companies on the floor. It will cover the many facets involved in creating and managing smart buildings and will attract a host of leading companies and stakeholders from the sector. Since the inaugural event in 2017, Smart Buildings Show has gone from strength to strength, quickly establishing itself as a must-attend event in the industry calendar.

Get connected

People are more connected than ever in their work and personal life and are demanding that their homes are too. Having the ability to control their home remotely from their phone or smart device has become a must for many homeowners. Whether it be controlling HVAC, security, blinds, lights or integrated audio/visual equipment, Smart Buildings Show will showcase the very latest, and smartest, technology to satisfy the demands of the modern homeowner. With energy bills expected to soar this winter the need to make our homes more energy efficient has never been greater and investing in smart technology is a sensible place to start.

What is a smart building?

This was one of the questions posed at a recent Smart Buildings Round Table event and everybody present had a unique viewpoint on the meaning. The beauty within the smart buildings industry is that everyone has a different opinion to explore as it covers so many intriguing facets. If you are interested in hearing what they have to say, panellists from the Round Table event will take part in a live debate chaired by Jon Belfield of InTandem Systems on Wednesday 12 October at 12:15 in the Management Theatre.

Figures from last year’s Smart Buildings Show confirmed that 87% of visitors who attended became better informed about the latest technology available. This year’s event will once again provide the perfect setting for visitors to connect with key people from the sector while discovering sustainable and cost-effective methods to ensure the longevity of a building’s lifecycle.

Training and Residential Developers Theatre

Included in the busy conference line up this year is the Residential Developers Theatre which is incorporated in the CPD Training Theatre. With a diverse market and a multitude of options available, it’s not always easy to make well-informed decisions on how best to achieve a smart building. Customers need professional guidance and expert installation and, for everyone from large installers on large new build projects to a local installer of smart devices, the Residential Developers Theatre aims to inform and educate. Bringing together the integrators, resellers and manufacturers in this sector, plus the key associations the Residential Developers Theatre will answer all the major questions and show the benefits of being a player in this fast-growing sector…
