The second phase of house building has been given the green light to take place on the former Swansea University student village, which is set to provide hundreds of homes.
Back in 2013, a developer bought the Hendrefoilan and currently, work is very much progressing on the first 43 of 300 homes.
The second phase is structured so that 113 houses will be built across the remainder of the original part of the village, which leaves students still able to stay in the newer Woodside flats until – at the very least – July 2019.
On the 7th November, the plans were approved by Swansea council.
Students aren’t being shunted out of the village as such, as the majority of students at the university now live near the Bay campus, which opened in 2015.
