Buyers with a local link to the Halton area could secure a new home for less than the market value.
Castle Green Homes is working with Halton Borough Council to help make owning a new build home easier to afford.
Selected properties at Bridgewater View, part of the wider new community taking shape at Daresbury Garden Village, are available at a discounted rate, subject to criteria.
It means that eligible purchasers could secure a brand new home at just 70% of the market value.
Sales director at Castle Green Homes Sian Pitt said: “As a responsible homebuilder we’re committed to delivering the homes people want and need. At Bridgewater View we’re creating a mixed tenure new community, offering private sale homes alongside affordable housing options in partnership with Torus, plus selected homes are available at a discount to market value for those who meet qualifying criteria. The idea is to help local people who think they can’t afford a home of their own to do just that.”
Using the scheme a two-bedroom Oakley can be purchased for £172,897 – that’s 70% of the market value. For those who need three-bedrooms, the Highfield is available from £198,797.
The discount to market homes are available to first time buyers with a joint income of no more than £80,000, members of the armed forces, and those with a local area connection. This could be someone who’s lived in Halton for 24 consecutive months, has a close family association to the area, is a keyworker in the borough or has previously lived in Halton for more than five years and wants to move back.

A range of three and four-bedroom detached private sale homes are available from £334,995.
The homes at Bridgewater View are being built just off the A56, close to the Bridgewater Canal, with potential for some lovely views of the canal.
In time there’ll be a cycle path to connect to the nearby Science Park and a footpath down to the canal.
Warrington, Runcorn, Chester, Altrincham, Liverpool and Manchester all within commuting distance.
The bars and restaurants of Stockton Heath are only 10 minutes away by car, plus there are two golf courses within easy reach – Walton Hall Golf Club and Warrington Golf Club.
