These achievements were recognised during the Showhome Awards 2026 for the category, Windows and Doors Solution of the Year, which was broadcast via LinkedIn Live on 18 June 2026.

This year’s shortlist reflected the breadth of innovation taking place across the sector, with each finalist addressing a different aspect of modern home design.

Natural light and energy performance were at the heart of Dakea‘s Ultima Comfort roof window. Engineered to improve ventilation, thermal efficiency and daylight penetration, the product helps create brighter, healthier and more comfortable living environments throughout the home.
Completing the shortlist was First Home Improvements with its Composite Doors. This range combines advanced security features, excellent thermal performance and durable construction. They has been developed to meet the practical needs of modern homeowners while maintaining a strong emphasis on style and kerb appeal.

Although each finalist approached innovation differently, they all shared a common objective: enhancing the performance, appearance and liveability of the modern home.
When voting closed, one product emerged as the clear choice of Showhome readers.
